During our first session together, we will perform a comprehensive movement assessment detailing our thoughts and observations, including a movement diagnosis and a detailed plan of action. Your "movement diagnosis" is a non-medical, physical therapy-based diagnosis that clearly identifies the movements which are suspected to be the cause of your mechanical pain.
We live and breathe transparency and education, so get ready to learn and grow together. During your evaluation, a Doctor of Physical Therapy will appropriately identify the cause of your symptoms, not just the source. Athletic and recreational injuries at one joint are often caused in part or whole by deficits or limitations at another, and unfortunately they often get lost by therapists in what we call "symptom tunnel vision".
We will assess the specific movements and activities that you would like to return to and discuss specifically how we will work together to accomplish your goals. Whether you are recovering post-operatively or dealing with an overuse injury, we will give you the attention to detail you deserve. Each and every patient is a member of our family, our team, and we treat you as such.
