OWNER, DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

Dr. Gavin Weir is the owner and founder of Method Athletics. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from U.S. News Report's #1 ranked physical therapy program at Washington University in St. Louis' School of Medicine where he was a Merit Award recipient. Dr. Weir has effectively treated and trained athletes at the high-school, collegiate, Olympic, and professional level and continues to do so with a relentless passion for high-quality movement and evidence-based practice. Gavin has completed clinical clerkships in orthopedics, pediatrics, and sport rehabilitation, culminating in the opening of our facility in Frankfort. His mission is to treat the individual, not the disease, focusing on restoring function through safe and effective exercise and movement. Dr. Weir is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as certified in Emergency Response for the Athlete (ERA). He has worked as a strength coach since 2013, coaching several collegiate powerlifters to multiple USAPL state and national level records.  


DR. KACYEE HART, PT, DPT

DIRECTOR OF PITCHING PERFORMANCE

Dr. Kacyee Hart is the Director of Pitching Performance for Method Athletics. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from U.S. News Report's #1 ranked physical therapy program at Washington University in St. Louis' School of Medicine. Kacyee has completed clinical clerkships in orthopedics, neurology, and sport rehabilitation including the acclaimed Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Hart's knowledge of arm care and pitching performance comes from the merging of her physical therapy expertise and her career as a Division I athlete for Western Illinois University's softball team as a starting pitcher for all four years of her collegiate career. Dr. Hart has also acted as a pitching coach for several Lincoln-Way area travel teams since 2013.
